Nicole Libbey.
Outside Beauty
pgs. 1-30
so far, this book is about 4 girls; mainly Shelby, who share a mother, but not their fathers. The four girls reffer to them self as we, not me, or I, just we.
The four girls are Marylin; the oldest daughter who uses her looks for things; much like her mother, Shelby; the second oldest at 13 yrs old, who reffers to herself as the private one, Lakey; age 8{i think}, who is bookworm, and Maddylin {i think thats how you spell it} who is the youngest{6}, and certainly acts like a little kid.
It starts off with the mothers ex-boyfriend; Pierre knocking on the dorr angrily. The girls leave through the back on their way to California. California is where Lakey lives. Each girl has their own jobs on the road. Madilyn and Lakey; money, food and motels, Shelby; maps, and Maddylin to young for anything.
They stop at a bug infested motel where the maps are wrecked.
All I Read So Far.

Everest 1: the contest
All
Bryan Alcox

In this book, a young boy named Dominic is trying t win a contest to get to compete to be part of Everest's youngest expedition team. He won the contest by getting the letters E-V-E-R-E-S-T. He won and went to compete for the team. He got there, and was thinking he was going to get cut, but after the team was decided, someone dropped out and he got on the team. While having a training climb, a team mate sleep walked off the mountain, and fell into a chunk of ice. Dominic was the only one small enough to fit through, so he rescued Bryn,, the sleepwalker. then because she was injured she couldn't stay on the team, tilt crowley, a good climber with a huge ego, got put on team.He secretley gives a newspaper dirt aout all the climbers.

I like this book because the characters are my age. Its exciting and fun to read.

marley & me.
john grogan.
pgs. 1-30 (preface)

In 1967, he was 10 years old, and his father was going to get him a dog for his birthday. His father made sure that he picked the right dog since it will be with him for the rest of his life. His father told him to shake the cages and see what one is afraid. All of them moved backward in horror, except one dog. He was gold with a white chest. He called it love at first sight. He was very obidedent. An example of that would be if he dropped a piece of crust on the floor, Shaun (dog) wouldn't touch it unless he said so. Shaun was with him through EVERYTHING! His first kiss with a girl, his first and last cigarette, and rough times. He died 14 years later, everyone was shocked. He was old but nothing was wrong with him. Everyone cried for days. Even dad, he never saw his own dad cry before. But this was the first time.
